Raimy Jaramillo

Sociology PhD Student

Raimy entered the Sociology PhD program in Fall 2019. He received his BA in Psychology and Sociology at Rutgers University. He is interested in how historical, political and economic structures shape and effect mental health/illness in the West. He is also more broadly interested in global politics, world systems theory, post-colonialism and health disparities abroad. Raimy has worked for Rutgers University and the University of Chicago in various research roles, related to the opioid crisis, community policing, social psychology and medical sociology.
