The Feedback Systems Subcommittee met on 10/30/24. We began by acknowledging the upcoming election and noting that the Safezone app is very helpful. We then moved to looking at the recommendations so far based on the trends we know from the survey with the four categories. We started with Mentorship within a Unit, where we noted that mentorship can’t be imposed and talked about getting more feedback about what kind of mentorship staff feels they need. For Feedback Channels, we want to make sure there is a system for addressing feedback, not just collecting it. We want these feedback channels to be developed through the lenses of empowerment, agency, and bringing voice forward.
The Communications Subcommittee met on 10/29/24. We began by summarizing the SETF meeting from the previous week and focusing on how to provide overall staff engagement recommendations. We decided not to go question-by-question, but instead look again at the broad areas for improvement and provide recommendations that might address multiple questions. We re-shared the recommendation ideas document and decided that there should be a recommendation format that details scope, how to implement, which question the recommendation addresses, and why this is important. We also agreed that there should be some framing language at the beginning of the recommendations document that re-emphasizes that the process is ongoing and justifies why we started in these areas. The rest of the meeting was dedicated to brainstorming about recommendations for the Mentorship within Units area.
The Data Analysis Subcommittee met on 10/30/24. We reviewed each subcommittee member’s summary of the data themes noted from the three open responses from the survey. These questions were centered on what excites staff about their work, what three words they would use to describe CSSH, and other feedback on community and engagement in CSSH. Each team member will compile their questions notes and add them to a comprehensive outline for the questions results as well as highlighting overlapping themes across the questions. The team also finalized the plan for what will be discussed in the next larger task force meeting in terms of data presentation to staff more broadly.
