Subgroup Meeting Points | 12/10 – 12/16

The Feedback Subcommittee met 12/16/2024. We began the meeting by reflecting on the last larger SETF meeting. We then turned to our recommendations for our second theme, ability to share feedback/ideas within the college. Similarly to our last meeting, we began by looking to the ideas listed by the larger group and discussing what we thought were important points to addressing the theme. We also looked to identified issues in the staff engagement survey when it came to feedback. We then created two recommendations: develop an internal communications strategy with CSSH staff and creating established feedback mechanisms (such as polling, identifying feedback loops, and consistency in communication about the forms available). We also talked about potential technologies that could be utilized to streamline feedback loops.

The Communications Subcommittee (Mike and Katy) met on 12/10/24. We decided to split the two ideas between the two of us to work into the recommendation template. Mike would take the idea to survey staff about a number of communication vehicle possibilities, and Katy would take the idea of having a staff representative at Full Chairs Council meetings. We all met again on 12/19 to review the templates, provide feedback, and align on next steps.

The Data Analysis Subcommittee met on 12/11/24. Finalized the information in the recommendation template and discussed the possibility of the write up of a formal report of task force work, methodology, and recommendations. Reviewed our experiences on the task force and discussed the potential future options for enacting the recommendations.

We value your perspective and encourage you to share any additional information or feedback regarding your experience as a staff member in CSSH here: https://cssh.northeastern.edu/cssh-taskforce-feedback.
