Women’s hockey alumna Kendall Coyne was named as one of the 30 finalists for the NCAA Woman of the Year award on Wednesday. The top 30 finalists were chosen from 142 conference nominees, and the selection committee will name nine finalists from the pool later in the month. Read more here.
Women’s soccer senior McKenzie Dowd was named the ECAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Dowd, who has achieved a perfect 4.0 in all semesters at Northeastern, will be honored at the ECAC Honors Dinner on September 22. Read more about the award and Dowd’s achievements here.

Northeastern’s first special issue of Signs, “Pleasure and Danger: Sexual Freedom and Feminism in the Twenty-First Century” was released yesterday.
