WGSS graduate Ethel Mickey awarded 2018 Mother Board Writing Prize

Ethel Mickey, WGSS grad certificate graduate and former Signs graduate assistant, is the honorable mention winner of this year’s GCWS Mother Board Writing Prize! Ethel received well-deserved recognition for her paper “Doing Gender, Doing Networks.” Congratulations to Ethel and her wonderful success!

The Consortium for for Graduate Studies in Gender, Culture, Women, and Sexuality (GCWS) offers this annual award honoring graduate student research and writing in the field of Women’s and Gender Studies. Every year, one or two students are recognized for their unpublished written work that exemplifies the three tenets central to the GCWS mission: interdisciplinary inquiry; innovative thinking; and epistemologically self-conscious investigation.
