Even before the COVID 19 global pandemic, there were issues in the field of childcare in the US. The pandemic has exposed and exacerbated these problems. WGSS executive committee member Professor Alicia Sasser Modestino (PPUA & Economics, Associate Director of the Dukakis Center) spoke to the Boston Globe about the research she and fellow WGSS executive Committee member Alisa Lincoln and Northeastern professor Jamie Ladge are conducting into how caregivers are handling childcare and work during the COVID crisis.
