Dr. N. Fadeke Castor (Assistant Professor of Religion and Africana Studies & WGSS Executive Committee member) recently sat down with the author of the critically acclaimed and best-selling book Homegoing (2016) on September 8th for the 2021-2022 First Pages event hosted by Northeastern. Dr. Castor and Gyasi spoke about her latest book, Transcendent Kingdom (released in September 2020) which explores the interlocking themes of religion, science, family, and mental illness, through the lens of Gifty, a Ghanaian American fifth-year PhD candidate in neuroscience.
