Suzanna Walters publishes op-ed “Subject: Man. Object: Woman. Verb? Control.” in Ms.

Suzanna Walters (Professor of sociology and Director of the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program, editor-in-chief of Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society) recently published an op-ed in Ms. The piece is in reaction to the Mississippi abortion rights case. The op-ed discusses how the restrictive views on abortions come from the patriarchal view of woman as an object to be controlled.
