Professor Mya Poe has been named one of this year’s two recipients of the university-wide Excellence in Teaching Award. Members of the award committee indicated that they were especially captivated by Professor Poe’s statement of teaching philosophy and impressed with her effectiveness in teaching writing to science students. Professor Poe will receive the university-wide award at the annual Academic Honors Convocation in April.
