Postdoctoral Teaching Associate in English

Arsalan Haq is a Postdoctoral Teaching Associate in the Writing Program at Northeastern University. He received his Ph.D. from Northeastern in Summer 2020. His dissertation, “Graphic Acts: Narrative Desire and Design in Comics and Architecture,” is directed by Hillary Chute and examines architecture design and comics as complimentary art forms that narrate experiences through the medium of drawing.

Dr. Haq’s writing courses draw on his interdisciplinary training in design and visual culture to rework conventional conceptions of writing as text by centering on multimodal communication, including comics, narrative art, and memes.
