Part-Time Lecturer in English
Lisa Portadin has spent more than 28 years in education, with experience spanning K–12 and higher education. Her work has included teaching English, ESL, and literacy across elementary, secondary, and university settings, as well as supporting educators as an instructional writing coach.
She currently supports writing instruction across Boston Public Schools, working with educators and school leaders to strengthen writing instruction across grade levels and content areas. She also teaches at the university level and is completing her doctorate in education at Northeastern University, where her research focuses on building teacher capacity for writing instruction.
Across her teaching, coaching, and research, her work centers on creating meaningful opportunities for students to develop as writers while recognizing their languages, experiences, and perspectives as assets.
