Learning by Giving Foundation

The Social Impact Lab has a longstanding collaboration with the Learning by Giving Foundation (LxG). Founded by Doris Buffett, LxG inspires and educates a new generation of philanthropists and community leaders to effectively distribute capital to local communities. LxG has supported SIL’s flagship experiential philanthropy program, Northeastern Students4Giving, for many years. The foundation and SIL have also partnered to create multiple innovative experiential philanthropy programs including Giving with Purpose, the world’s first experiential philanthropy massive open online course (MOOC) and Philanthropy on the Field.

Millennium Campus Network

In recent years, the Social Impact Lab has partnered with the Millennium Campus Network (MCN), a Boston-based nonprofit focused on training the next generation of social impact leaders through a year-long innovative experience. While supporting student-led projects that are advancing UN Sustainable Development Goals, MCN trains student leaders to rethink the paradigms that perpetuate inequality, promote a human-centric and collaborative approach, and transform dialogue into action. SIL proudly hosted cohorts of Millennium Fellows in 2018 and 2019.
