Co-Lead for Python and Machine Learning Lab - AI and Data Ethics Summer Training Program
As part of the nine week AI and Data Ethics summer program, philosophy graduate students take part in 14 lab sessions on python, machine learning, neural networks, and large language models. The SGA will work with the program lead Kathleen Creel to create and lead lab sessions for these participants, building on and improving existing curriculum. Interest in philosophy or ethics is a plus but not required.

Project Description
The AI and Data Ethics Summer Training Program brings together ~10-12 philosophy graduate students from as many institutions for a nine week summer intensive on the philosophy of AI. Graduate students receive training in philosophy, machine learning, and professional development. Summer 2026 is funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and has a special focus on metascience and AI.
