Professor K.J. Rawson (English and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies) seeks to hire a graduate Research Assistant to support the Digital Transgender Archive (www.digitaltransgenderarchive.net) project. Research Assistants collaborate on researching new materials, selecting items for digitization, processing new items for our collections, and overseeing the DTA lab in Boston.

Project Description
The purpose of the Digital Transgender Archive (DTA) is to increase the accessibility of transgender history by providing an online hub for digitized historical materials, born-digital materials, and information on archival holdings throughout the world. Responsibilities: –Assessing and evaluating the current collections on the Digital Transgender Archive (DTA) –Researching trans-related collections at contributing institutions and evaluating digitization possibilities –Processing materials for the DTA collections –Recruiting, training, and overseeing undergraduate students working in the lab –Contributing to social media content and engagement for the DTA
