Allison Bishop

Allison Bishop is Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel in the legal department at LPL Financial, an independent broker dealer. She is the Head of Early Dispute Resolution and Advisor Investigations. Prior to joining LPL Financial, she was a Director in Fiduciary Strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Allison also enjoyed a long career as a regulator at the New York Stock Exchange/FINRA. During her tenure, she was Senior Trial Counsel, Enforcement Director, MD-Head of Risk Assessment and VP & Chief Compliance Officer of NYSE Euronext. She also served her community as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office where she worked in the Trial Division, Special Victims and the Frauds Bureau in the Investigations Division.

Allison holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a JD from Hofstra University School of Law. She is a member of the New York State Bar, the New York City Bar Association, and the CFP Board of Standard’s Public Policy Council. Allison serves on the Board of the Nassau County Girl Scouts and the New York State Medical Review Board. She is married to Dexter, a Northeastern graduate and has two daughters: Lauren, a teacher and Alexandra, an aspiring journalist.
