Anthony Butler

Anthony Butler, Associate Director of Major Gifts, joined Northeastern in February 2024. He has worked in advancement since 2019 and comes to Northeastern via Dexter Southfield, a PreK-12 independent school in Brookline, MA, where he collaborated with philanthropists and senior leadership to help fundraise for two major facilities projects and annual giving. Before entering advancement, Anthony spent 20 years in education, mostly as a Spanish teacher, but also as a department chair, administrator, and lastly as director of academic partnerships. Here, Anthony oversaw the development and implementation of curriculum-based engagement experiences in the City of Worcester for Worcester Academy. His academic interests include literature and philosophy, experiential education, language acquisition, and interdisciplinary design.
