Asia (she/her) is a fourth-year PhD student in the English department. Her research focuses on Black women’s literary histories, Black women’s creative expression as feminist/womanist praxis, and Afrofuturism. After finishing her BA and MA in Creative Writing, she taught first-year writing for three years before deciding to pursue her PhD. Asia is most experienced with writing in the literary disciplines including creative & narrative writing, literature reviews, literary analyses. She is also familiar with writing for the humanities, history, personal statements, and CFPs. In her free time, Asia enjoys Bob’s Burgers reruns, k-dramas, and writing short stories that she’ll likely never share with the rest of the world.
