Writing Center Tutor
Dani is a first year PhD student studying English Rhetoric and Composition with a WGSS Certificate. As a tutor, they specialize in humanities, social sciences, and research-related genres, professional writing genres, and writing for concision. She is also experienced with MLA, APA, and Chicago style. Dani holds a Bachelor’s in Women’s Studies (with minors in Sociology, Religious Studies, and English) and a Master’s in English Composition and Pedagogy. They have over three years of experience working as a writing tutor, and enjoy working with students whose first language is not English and/or who have challenges with executive functioning (i.e., ADHD). Dani is also interested in feminist and queer rhetoric and history. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her service dog, hiking and camping, gardening, and trying to understand her partner’s rambles about their own studies as a classical flutist.
