Emma Filonow
Project and Research Assistant Co-Op, Ethics Institute
Emma Filonow is a Project and Research Assistant at the Ethics Institute. A fourth-year student studying Mathematics, Philosophy, and Economics, her coursework ranges from formal logic and real analysis to social policy and ethics. Outside of class, she is involved with the philosophy department’s Rossetti Research Group, contributes to research at Northeastern’s Network Science Institute, and enjoys attending talks within both communities. She’s also drawn to collaborative education, having taken on roles in pedagogical partnership, teaching assistance, and group fitness instruction. Emma is especially interested in problems of welfare, collective action, and social choice, and hopes to continue studying game theory and ethics at the graduate level. In her free time, Emma can be found exploring Boston’s museums and gardens, riding Bluebikes with her friends, or petting strangers’ dogs.
