Litigator in State and Federal Courts

An accomplished litigator in business, commercial disputes, intellectual property and general liability law, with a concentration in the biotechnology and environmental industries, Nicholas P. Alexander practices in state and federal courts. His broad expertise also includes employment and non-compete issues, class actions, product liability, insurance law and technology law. Nicholas has lectured before bar and trade associations in addition to having served as an editor of the Massachusetts Law Review – one of the oldest law review journals in the U.S. and one of the most frequently cited as a legal authority by courts of many jurisdictions.  

 

A former member of the Defense Research Institute, Nicholas has lectured at the MIT Enterprise Forum as well as other MIT-based organizations on a range of strategic legal issues that impact business leaders and start-ups. Nicholas’s legal successes have been the subject of articles in Nation’s Business, Success Magazine, WallStreetReporter.com and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, among others.  

 

Nicholas has served on the boards of directors of privately held businesses and as a faculty member for business workshops and conferences. An accomplished legal author, Nicholas’ legal scholarship on indemnity has been cited by state supreme and appellate courts around the country.  

 

Nicholas was a RISE judge in April 2020. In 2021 Nicholas and his team of lawyers successfully represented a leading environmental technology company in a disputed merger concerning cutting edge air pollution emission control technologies.  

 

Nicholas is an alumnus of Northeastern University and Suffolk University Law School, and resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
