Renée Contreras is Program Manager at the Center on Crime and Community Resilience. In this role, she helps forge partnerships between policymakers and researchers, supports civil society organizations with the creation of learning and knowledge-based strategies, and facilitates knowledge sharing for improved development effectiveness. Prior to joining CCR, Contreras worked for YouthBuild International supporting USAID-funded youth development and violence prevention projects in Mexico. A graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she has also served as an education consultant for international and human rights organizations including UNICEF, Saferworld, and Impunity Watch. Contreras is fluent in Spanish, and specializes in participatory design, monitoring and evaluation, strategy development, youth engagement, and conflict transformation.
