Andrew Fischer

MA in World History

Andrew graduated from The Ohio State University in 2023 with a BA in History and minors in Film Studies and Spanish. As a Master’s student in the World History program, he plans to study United States Social and Political history. He hopes to incorporate his Film Studies minor by studying the New Hollywood movement and its influence on civil unrest in the 1960s. His other historical interests include Presidential History, the 20th Century U.S., the American Revolution, the Civil War, and Reconstruction, though his favorite undergraduate project focused on Muscular Christianity and its impact on Victorian masculinity. A native of Hudson, Ohio, Andrew is excited to join the Northeastern community.
