Criminal Justice, BS
Graduated in 2019
Anna Sweeney became interested in criminal justice early on, due to her father’s career investigating environmental crimes. She came to Northeastern after learning about co-op and the university’s signature experiential learning model.
School of Criminology and Criminal Justice
Anna completed her first co-op at Fidelity Investments, where she worked on cases involving identity theft, scam victims, and financial crime.
She secured an internship in the Office of Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito.
Anna went on her second co-op was with Office of the Attorney General in the Criminal Bureau, working on trafficking, fraud, and white-collar crime.
She started an internship with Senator Michael Moore, where she drafted correspondence to constituent requests and briefings.
Anna graduated in 2019.
She went on to earn a Masters in Security and Resilience Studies with a focus on counterterrorism at Northeastern.
Currently, Anna is a Senior Anti Money Laundering Investigator for Citizens Bank.
