Cassidy Pereira

Criminology and Justice Policy, PhD

Cassidy Pereira is a doctoral student in the Criminology and Justice Policy Program at Northeastern University. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor’s degree in Crime and Justice. Upon graduating, she has had the opportunity to work for the Brockton STARR Program, a transitional home for children referred to the program by the Department of Children and Families. In addition, she has work experience ranging from the Brockton Public School system to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. Her research areas of interest include neighborhood risk factors, juvenile delinquency, and the complexities that an offender may face post incarceration. She is currently working on a project with the Center on Crime and Community Resilience in respect to reforming the police.
