Catarina Tchakerian

M.A. in Public History

Catarina graduated with honors from Texas A&M University in December of 2020 with a BA in History and minors in French and Museum Studies. Catarina interned with the National Museum of American History, Gettysburg National Military Park, and Fort Necessity National Battlefield, completing projects in research, archives, and public interpretation. Her paper, “The Sedition Act of 1789: Resisting the Republican Threat,” won Best Original Research Paper in the Undergraduate Category at the 2019 Texas A&M History Graduate Student Conference. Catarina’s internships and studies fostered her passion for public history, especially interpretation.
