Corie Mesa
English PhD Student
Corie Mesa (she/her) is a PhD student in the English Department at Northeastern University, with a focus in composition studies, community engagement, and digital humanities. Born and raised in Los Angeles, her research interests lie in classroom engagement strategies that serve students from underserved communities and first-generation college students. Her work further explores how rhetorical practices can be utilized to foster inclusive, equitable, and participatory writing communities, empowering students and effecting social change in higher education.
