Dani English
English PhD Student
Dani (she/they) is a PhD student studying Rhetoric & Composition and WGSS. Their work focuses on feminist rhetoric and history, and they are particularly interested in 1960s and 1970s feminist manifestos and newsletters. Dani received their MA in Composition and Pedagogy from the University of Massachusetts, Boston (UMB). Dani’s BA is also from UMB, where she majored in Women’s and Gender Studies (and took on three minors—Religious Studies, Sociology, and English—which is a choice she doesn’t regret but also doesn’t recommend). Outside of school, Dani enjoys spending time with her service dog, gardening, language learning (tá d’ardaidhm aici a bheith ina Gaeilgeoir), editing Wikipedia, and trying to understand her partner’s rambles about their own studies as a classical flutist.
