Jamie Hanna
Sociology PhD Student
Jamie Hanna is a fifth-year PhD student in the Sociology Department and a member of the Social Science Environmental Health Research Institute (SSEHRI). Jamie completed her BA in Law, Politics, and Society and Sociology at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. As an undergraduate, Jamie worked as a research assistant on projects that included midwifery licensure and legal mobilization as well as an ethnographic study of legalization of cannabis in Colorado. Jamie’s current research interests include community response to environmental disasters with a focus on the disparate impacts of those disasters.
