Miranda Dotson
Sociology PhD Candidate
Miranda joined Northeastern’s Department of Sociology & Anthropology in Fall 2021. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology and French Language & Culture and a certificate in French to English Translation from American University. She has conducted qualitative analysis on the health experiences of French residents living near Europe’s second most-polluted region, has led qualitative research on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on U.S.-based undergraduate college students’ lives, as well as the impacts of COVID-19 on community-based organizations in the California Bay Area. She is a member of the Social Science Environmental Health Research Institute (SSEHRI) at Northeastern.
