Rachael McIntosh

English PhD Student

Rachael McIntosh (she/her) is a PhD candidate in the English Department studying archival rhetorics. Her dissertation project investigates the relationship between archives and structures of power that emerged out of colonial conquest and slavery, such as racial capitalism, the heteropatriarchal family structure, and the plantation. During her time at Northeastern, Rachael has worked as the Assistant Director of the Writing Center, as a Research Assistant for the Digital Transgender Archive, and has taught Advanced Writing in the Disciplines.
