Sydney Brown
MA in Public History
Sydney earned her B.A. in Global Cultural Studies, World Literature from Duke Kunshan University and Duke University in 2026. Her undergraduate thesis was a creative-critical project titled Congenial Folks: Exploring Afro-Soviet Interactions through Documentary Poetry. She is interested in exploring the intersection between the formulation of historical narratives and creative work, and on creative methods of preserving and creating Queer Black histories. She is pursuing the Public History MA at Northeastern.
