Trump promises to “save” TikTok. Can he undo the ban?

President-elect Donald Trump appears to be reversing course on banning TikTok as a deadline forcing the company to be sold to a U.S. investor or be forced out of the country is quickly approaching.

Trump has been hinting at saving the popular video-sharing app over the final months of his presidential campaign, bucking a policy position that he started during his first term in office and that has picked up bipartisan support in Washington due to national security concerns over TikTok’s connections to China.
