Congratulations, Professor Shalanda Baker!

Dr. Baker’s newest book

The Northeastern University community is excited to celebrate Shalanda Baker on two accounts!

In 2020, Professor Baker published her newest book, Revolutionary Power: An Activist’s Guide to the Energy Transition. Revolutionary Power focuses on the ways that climate change will alter energy system regulation, the work of energy-justice advocates, and the importance that BIPOC play a role in upending the unequal power dynamics current energy systems create.

Secondly: We applaud Professor Baker on her new appointment under the Biden Administration. As of January 20th, Dr. Baker will be serving as the Deputy Director for Energy Justice in the Office of Economic Inclusion and Diversity.

Congratulations Dr. Shalanda Baker! Northeastern looks forward to your accomplishments!
