Associate Teaching Professor

Fang Fang is a geographer specializing in urban greenspace and landscape dynamics, and environmental planning, particularly in the context of climate change. She employs various data sources and technologies, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and open-source data, utilizing advanced statistical modeling and data mining techniques. Her research focuses on understanding urban forests and greenspaces to develop a more sustainable, resilient, and healthy living environment.

Fang has an impressive teaching record in physical geography, GIS, design studios, statistics, and data science courses. Additionally, Fang collaborates with numerous institutions, offering insights and solutions for practitioners, planners, and decision-makers to address both local and nationwide challenges in achieving urban sustainability.
