The two-week Summer Institute will be held from Monday, June 19 to Saturday, July 1, 2024.

A full schedule of lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and site visits will be provided at least a month before the Institute. Broadly speaking, the first week will focus on the broad concepts and examples of integrating geographical perspectives into studies on literature, history, and philosophy. The second week will use Boston as a GeoHumanities laboratory, as we will visit sites associated with the city and region’s literary and philosophical traditions and rich histories, but also think about how localized knowledge can travel from one site to another.
