Interdisciplinary Programs in a Global Context

Northeastern’s College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) brings an interdisciplinary approach, experiential opportunities, and the integration of real-world projects to our suite of globally focused programs. Faculty in these programs are experts in conflict resolution, resilient cities, international law, international security, and the global politics of gender, ethnicity, cities, and religion.

MA International Affairs

The MA in International Affairs prepares students to become global leaders by combining theories, concepts, and methodologies from a range of disciplines with experiential learning opportunities in Boston, the U.S., and around the world.
MS Security and Resilience Studies

The Master of Science in Security and Resilience program prepares graduates to inform, support, and lead domestic and international efforts to recover from and prepare for major disruptions in the 21st century.
MA Political Science

By specializing in one of the core concentrations, graduates of the MA in Political Science program are prepared to take on key leadership roles in government, nonprofit, or related work in the private sector.
MS Economics

The MS in Economics with a Data Science concentration, now available in both Boston and Seattle, gives students the opportunity to integrate applied econometrics with data visualization and computational modeling.

Students from these programs have found careers in the private and public sector as well as government and nonprofits. Alumni from these programs currently work at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Saudi Central Bank, Facebook, The Cadmus Group, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and more.
