Graduate Research Assistant - Computational Media Research using NLP

This is a Tier 1 project. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant (RA) to join our team for an exciting Computational Media Research. The objective of this project is to understanding the news narratives surrounding the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine as represented in Western and Chinese media. As an RA, you will play a crucial role in implementing some machine learning techniques and NLP models, primarily focusing on word embedding, knowledge graph, VAE (Variational Autoencoder) and GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) models for text and images. It is a good opportunity for you to learn how to run machine learning models and learn how to write a method paper based on the results.
