Mary Trump Predicts US to Face ‘Yet Another Test’ from Donald Trump

Mary Trump predicted President Donald Trump’s military parade in Washington, D.C., this weekend will be “yet another test” for the United States. Responding to her comments, White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly said in a statement to Newsweek: “Mary Trump apparently hates America by refusing to celebrate our service members who sacrifice so much for our country.” Newsweek reached out to Mary Trump via email for comment.

The U.S. Army is celebrating its 250th anniversary with a parade in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, which is also President Trump’s 79th birthday. The parade notably comes as the political temperature heats up across the country following large protests over Trump’s deportation policy in Los Angeles. Critics have compared the parade to those seen in authoritarian countries like North Korea.
