Director, Center for Atypical Language Interpreting (CALI)
Diana Doucette, M.Ed., CI, CT, brings over 20 years’ experience managing RSA Interpreter Training Program grant projects, serving the past six years as Center Director and Principal Investigator of the Regional Interpreter Education Center at Northeastern University (NURIEC). Diana was instrumental in many of the accomplishments of the National Consortium of Interpreter Education Centers (NCIEC), most notably development of the Interpreting in Spanish-Influenced Settings Curriculum Guide and the Deaf Interpreter Curriculum, and in creating and promoting the “Discover Interpreting” recruitment initiative designed to bring more men and women from diverse backgrounds into interpreting as a career. She has been a nationally certified interpreter for over 15 years, and holds a Master’s degree in Adult and Organizational Learning.
