Emily (Breen) Fidanza graduated in 2019 as a Human Services major with a concentration in Food Systems and Public Health. Emily developed a passion or public health through her involvement with Relay for Life, a trip to Zambia to study public health and foreign aid, and her second co-op at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. In her time at Northeastern, she took courses like Strategic Philanthropy and Nonprofit Management, Community and Public Health, and Food Systems Policy that have helped her explore connections between the nonprofit sector and public health/healthcare. Emily was also involved in the Service-Learning (S-L)program in some form since her first semester Freshman year. Being a S-L student, Street Team Member, S-LTA, and S-LTM inspired her to constantly think about the most effective ways to create social change. Emily is now pursuing a career in public health to help promote health equity.
Emily is currently a Network Manager at Massachusetts Food System Collaborative.
