Austin V. Smith

Austin V. Smith is a postdoctoral researcher who received his PhD in Economics from the University of Arizona. His work examines the criminal justice system through the lens of labor and public economics. Through his research, Austin aims to inform policy changes that can reduce crime without creating undue disparities. His current research focuses on the workplace incentives that drive the behaviors of law enforcement officers.
