Visiting Researcher

College of Social Sciences and Humanities

Giovanni Duca is a PhD student visiting from University of Milan (Italy). His primary research interests are formal epistemology and logic. His ongoing PhD project is broadly about reasoning, believing and evaluating evidence. In particular, he studies how qualitative and quantitative representations of beliefs can relate, and whether such relations are stable under learning new information. Such study  clarifies the status of both synchronic and diachronic normative constraints on the distinct doxastic attitudes.
