Mario Rafael Silva
Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics
Mario Rafael Silva is an economist specializing in macroeconomics and monetary economics. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, where he studied under Guillaume Rocheteau. His research focuses on liquidity, market frictions, and aggregate demand.
Prior to joining Northeastern University, he was an Assistant Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University and previously held a faculty appointment at Tongji University in Shanghai. His teaching interests include macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, statistics, econometrics, and game theory.
