Michael P. Stone
Interim Chair and Teaching Professor of Economics
Michael P. Stone joined the Economics department at Northeastern in 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he received his J.D. in 2005 and Ph.D. in Economics in 2010. His areas of specialization are law and economics, public economics, and applied microeconomics. His research has appeared in International Review of Law and Economics and Contemporary Economic Policy, among other journals. In 2018, he was awarded the CSSH Outstanding Teaching Award. You may find him distance running around the Charles River in his free time.
