Qianwei Shen

Qianwei Shen is a data scientist and economist with over a decade of experience applying quantitative methods in industry and research. He has led projects in time series modeling, causal inference, and marketing measurement at major tech companies including Netflix, TikTok, Amazon, and Meta. His work has focused on building scalable experimentation platforms, developing forecasting models, and applying innovative statistical techniques to optimize business decisions.

Qianwei holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Wayne State University and a B.A. in Economics from Beijing Normal University. He has taught and mentored in both academic and professional settings, focusing on applied data science, forecasting, and econometric modeling. He currently works at Netflix as a Data Scientist and lives in Redmond, WA, with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball and hiking in the Pacific Northwest.
