Sam Richardson

Part-Time Lecturer

Sam Richardson is a health economist whose work has focused on quality-based payment in medicine and on the implementation of Obamacare. A 2013 graduate of Harvard’s Health Policy PhD program and winner of multiple teaching awards, he has taught a range of economics courses at the University of Texas at Austin, Boston College, Harvard, and now Northeastern. He is currently working on writing an introductory-level health economics textbook. When he is not teaching economics, Sam is a semi-professional poker player and coach who is likely to be found at the tables at Encore.
