Experiential Learning in the Classroom

Some Jewish Studies courses include experiential learning as part of the coursework. In particular, see JWSS/PHIL 1285 and JWSS/HIST 2430. Please the catalogue for course descriptions.

Service Learning

Service-learning courses also allow students to interact with the community on subjects outside of the classroom. Students in the Jewish Studies Module, the capstone course for the Jewish studies minor that allows students to bring their major and minor fields together, may also fulfill the course requirement through a service-learning project.  A full list of Northeastern service-learning courses opportunities is available on the service-learning website.  To discuss a service-learning project specific to Jewish Studies, please contact Prof. Lori Lefkovitz, l.lefkovitz@northeastern.edu
