NU’s new chapter of Students Demand Action works to prevent gun violence by advocating for common-sense gun laws, endorsing gun-sense candidates, registering new voters, uplifting survivor voices, and educating community members on gun violence-related issues. This organization will also have a guest speaker event on Wednesday, 10/8, with Dr. Matthew Miller, a leading expert on firearm-related violence prevention and suicide prevention and the Co-Director of Harvard Injury Control Research Center and Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The event will occur at Snell Library 003 at 6-7 p.m.
