Open Data Science Curriculum

Led by: Dan O'Brien

This grant will enable the Boston Area Research Initiative (BARI) to continue its work through What the Tech?, an afterschool program and summer internship that enables Boston Public Schools high school students to “own” the tools of data science and AI for themselves and their communities. The team will be developing new data science curriculum in collaboration with Boston Public Schools and the Citywide Data Analytics Team that uses open data on Boston, modeled in large part on the construction of Big Data for Cities, the introductory course for the Masters of Science in Urban Informatics.
