Amanda Farina
M.A. in World History
Amanda Farina completed her B.A. in History from Emmanuel College in the Spring of 2019. She graduated magna cum laude and earned distinction in the field with her thesis “From Prayers to Pilaf: Armenian-American’s Christian Culinary Narration of the 20th Century.” She was awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant grant to Sardegna, Italy. During this 8-month endeavor, she not only learned about the subtle nuances of education, but also fully immerse herself in the language, culture, and history of the island. This experience inspired her to further research global links that migrants maintain to deal with distance.
